About Helper Circle

Helper Circle is a guided referral platform where families can meet employer-referred helpers already in Singapore. We are not a maid agency. Instead of charging placement fees, we support direct hiring through structured introductions, verification, and administrative coordination.

No. Helper Circle is not a maid agency. We do not recruit overseas helpers or charge placement fees. Families browse profiles, request introductions, and decide directly if there is mutual interest.

Employer referrals often provide more context than standard agency biodatas. Families can better understand the helper's strengths, routines, and transfer circumstances through real previous employer experiences.

Facebook helper groups can be helpful but are unmoderated. Anyone can post and verifying who you are speaking with is hard. Every helper on Helper Circle carries a verified trust signal — either an employer recommendation or independently verified long-term employment — and we personally review each profile before it goes live.

We also coordinate introductions privately, so contact details are never publicly exposed.

Helper Circle is intentionally curated. We only list helpers who carry a verified trust signal — an employer recommendation, or verified long-term employment — rather than operating as a high-volume marketplace.

Every helper here carries a trust signal we’ve verified — a family’s recommendation, or years of proven, checkable employment. That is the entire point.

Direct Hire & Transfers

A direct hire transfer happens when a helper already working in Singapore transfers directly to a new employer instead of returning home and restarting through an agency.

The most common reasons: the previous family is relocating overseas, their children have grown up and no longer need a helper, or an elderly family member they cared for has passed away or moved into a care facility.

Each profile on Helper Circle includes the reason for transfer — reviewed with the referring employer where there is one. We do not list helpers who left a previous role under dispute.

No. Many families using Helper Circle are first-time employers. We guide families through the process step-by-step.

Yes. Families can request introductions before making any decision. There is no obligation to proceed.

Timelines vary depending on availability and documentation, but transfers are often faster than overseas hiring because helpers are already in Singapore.

The best context about a helper comes from the family who lived with her — not a biodata sheet.

Pricing & Fees

Yes. Browsing profiles and requesting introductions are free. You only pay if both parties proceed with administrative support.

The admin fee covers transfer coordination and documentation support such as paperwork coordination, guidance on required documents, and administrative support throughout the transfer process.

External government or third-party costs such as MOM permit fees, insurance premiums, medical exams, and security bond requirements are charged separately.

These costs vary depending on permit requirements and insurance providers. Separating them keeps pricing transparent and avoids hidden markups.

No. Helper Circle does not charge traditional placement fees.

In the traditional agency model, helpers often repay several months of salary as a placement loan deducted directly from their pay. Direct hire transfers do not involve this kind of loan, because there is no recruitment agency in the middle.

We think this is one of the quietly important reasons direct hire works well for both families and helpers.

Yes. As a thank-you to the family who took the time to refer their helper, we offer a modest token of appreciation. It is provided only after the helper has been successfully hired and her new work permit has been issued — never before.

The referring family chooses how it is given: passed forward to the helper, donated to a good cause, or kept as a small thank-you for themselves.

It is a gesture of thanks, not a payment for referring. We keep it modest on purpose — a referral should come from wanting a good helper to land well, not from any incentive.

No placement fees. No salary deductions. Just a clearer path between a good helper and a good family.

Verification & Safety

Employer Recommended means a current or former employer has personally vouched for her, and we’ve confirmed that recommendation with them directly. This is our strongest signal.

Long-Term Family Retention means she has stayed with one family for many years — something we’ve checked against official MOM employment records. There is no personal recommendation attached, but her record speaks for itself.

Every profile carries one of these, shown clearly as a badge.

Every helper carries one of two verified trust signals. For an Employer Recommended helper, we confirm the recommendation directly with the referring employer. For a Long-Term Family Retention helper, we confirm the length of her employment against official MOM records. Either way, we review the profile, employment history, and transfer circumstances before it goes live.

It means we personally verified the referral source before listing the profile.

In most cases, yes. After an introduction is arranged and both sides feel the helper may be a good match, we ask the referring employer if they are open to a brief conversation with you.

Some referrers prefer to remain private and respond in writing instead. We respect that. Either way, the goal is for you to have honest context before deciding.

No. Contact details are never publicly displayed.

Yes. We never publicly display full employer identities or personal contact information.

Privacy on both sides is the default. Curated does not mean exposed.

Process & Logistics

We coordinate the introduction and confirm mutual interest before further contact details are shared.

That's completely fine. There is no obligation after interviews or introductions.

Yes. Availability may change if helpers are speaking with multiple interested families.

We are happy to guide first-time employers through the process in plain language.
